All-SIFL 2009 Team Announced

LAKE CHARLES, La. (July 20, 2009) - The Southern Indoor Football League all-league team was announced Mon., July 20, 2009, and five Mudbug players were on the list.

Voting was conducted among the head coaches and front office of the league's five charter teams along with SIFL staff and fan polling, which was tabulated as one composite vote. Fans were also allowed to voted for their player of the year at respective positions.

One additional wide receiver, offensive lineman, defensive lineman and defensive back were included. There were ties for the final spot at three positions - running back, linebacker and defensive back, and all three were added to the team.

Fans selected two players - Austin QB Deron Ellis and WR Robert Quiroga - as their players of the year, but neither garnered enough votes to make the all-league team as follows:
